Specify it for
Lobbies and reception, Showrooms and retail, Formal dry interiors
We would steer you elsewhere for
Anywhere wet, anywhere shoes arrive wet from outside, and any building without regular cleaning. A mirror finish left unmaintained looks worse than a cheaper one kept clean.
How it reads
At a distance
Reads as a single solid dark mass — almost no variation from a distance, which is why it works across a large surface.
Close up
Fine mineral flecking appears at arm’s length, so the surface is never flat close up.
Through the day
The most changeable of the tones: flat light reads almost black, raking light picks out every edge.
When wet
Deepens toward true black and the flecking intensifies. Usually looks better wet than dry.

Stoneza — Anantay Exports Pvt. Ltd. — is a quarry-direct manufacturer, processor and exporter of Volcanic basalt, operating from Bhilwara, Rajasthan since 1992. We operate quarries at Bijolia, Kota and Asind alongside verified direct quarry networks across India, processing and calibrating every order through our in-house factories in Bhilwara with zero middle trader markups. We supply pan-India and export worldwide.
Send the quantity, the finish and thickness you need, and the delivery location. We come back with a firm quarry-direct quotation and a confirmed lead time. Thickness and finish options are confirmed at quotation stage. Because we quarry and process ourselves, the quotation comes from the works rather than through a trader — and we would rather quote against a real drawing than hand you an indicative range that changes later.
Basalt is the quarry and trade name; Molten Lava is our name for it. The spec code is STZ-FA-MOLT-MIRR. Quote the spec code on a BOQ rather than either name — the same stone is sold under several names across India, which is exactly how substitution happens on site after a specification is approved.
Full high polish. The deepest, most reflective reading the stone can give, and the finish that changes people’s minds about what a material costs. Genuinely slippery wet. The full progressive polish taken through the fine grits to a high-gloss stage. It is the longest surfacing process we run and the one with the highest rejection rate, because a mirror surface shows every flaw the stone has. Wet grip: low — keep dry. Where a floor is meant to make an impression the moment someone walks in. The reflection doubles the apparent light in a space and makes a ceiling read higher.
Damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner and dry off standing water rather than letting it evaporate and mark. Never use acidic or descaling products. Shows footprints and dust within hours — this finish needs a cleaning regime, not just a cleaner.
Size: Tile 4'×2' | 2'×1' · Slab Length 5'+ · Width 2'+. Thickness: 20 MM. Supplied loose at approximately 5.5 kg per sq ft. Custom sizing is available on project orders — send the setting-out and we will cut to it.
Yes. At <0.5% water absorption and 2900 kg/m³ density it is exterior grade. At under 1% absorption it needs no sealer and handles monsoon and wet areas without difficulty.
Yes. We export worldwide from Bhilwara with container loading, export packing and documentation handled in-house. Minimum order is project-based rather than a fixed count. For bulk and wholesale enquiries, container quantities and repeat programmes, send the schedule and we will quote FOB or CIF against it.
Yes, and we would rather you did. Ask for a wet sample as well as a dry one — every stone darkens when wet, some dramatically, and it is the one thing a photograph cannot show you.
Work backwards from where the material is going rather than from how it looks. Anywhere it gets wet, choose a textured face — shotblast, riverwash or flame. For interiors, leather, satin or honed gives colour without glare and hides marks far better than a polish. Mirror and full polish belong in dry formal spaces only. Each of the 10 finishes has its own page above with a wet-grip rating, the settings it suits and what we would steer you away from. Order samples of the two or three you are weighing up — two finishes can look identical on a screen and completely different in the hand, and no photograph shows you grip.
